He is a Captain rank (retired) executive branch commissioned Officer from Sri Lanka Navy. He was appointed as a Justice in Peace for Whole Island by the Ministry of Justice in 2018 and also an Associate Member of Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) Sri Lanka. He served as the Director Personnel and Administration at Sri Lanka Coast Guard Headquarters, Mirissa prior to retirement in June 2022. On retirement, He assumed as the Manager Administration at Noritake Lanka Porcelain Pvt Ltd at Matale before joining Bairaha Farms PLC as Group Manager Administration and Security. He is currently serving as the Deputy Registrar Operations at Lyceum International Schools Pvt. Ltd since June 2025
